What is PicNotes?
PicNotes is an AI-powered web application that converts images containing text into editable, searchable notes. Built by Adnan Jindani, it solves the problem of manually transcribing handwritten or printed text from photos. The tool uses optical character recognition (OCR) and large language models to extract and summarize text from images, supporting old photographs and various handwriting styles. Core capabilities include text extraction, summarization, and note organization. It fits workflows for students, researchers, and professionals who need to digitize notes from whiteboards, documents, or books. Users can upload images and receive clean text summaries, making it ideal for study groups, meeting notes, and archival projects. PicNotes offers a free trial with limited photos and paid one-time plans for higher volume usage.
