California & U.S. State Privacy Rights
AIChief does not sell your personal information for money. However, under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and under similar laws in other U.S. states, some of the ways we work with advertising and analytics partners can count as a "sale" or a "share" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
If you are a resident of California — or of any other state with a comparable privacy law — you have the right to tell us to stop. You do not need an account, and you do not need to give us your name or email address to use the control on this page.
Your opt-out options
You can opt out in either of the two ways below. You do not need to do both — one is enough.
Option 1 — Use the toggle
Switch this on to stop AIChief from sharing your device and browsing identifiers with our advertising and identity-resolution partners.

Option 2 — Enable Global Privacy Control
Global Privacy Control (GPC) is a signal your browser sends to every site you visit, telling them not to sell or share your personal information. It is built into browsers such as Brave, Firefox and DuckDuckGo, and is available as an extension for others.
AIChief honours the GPC signal automatically. When we detect it, the toggle above turns on by itself and stays on for as long as your browser keeps sending the signal. You can read more at globalprivacycontrol.org.
This opt-out is specific to this browser and device
Your choice is stored in a cookie on the browser you are using right now, and it lasts for 13 months. That means you will need to opt out again if you clear your cookies, use a private or incognito window, switch to another browser, or open AIChief on another device.

What information is shared?
When you browse AIChief, the following categories of information may be shared with the partners described below:
IP address and approximate location
Your IP address, and the city, region and country it resolves to. We never receive a precise GPS location from your device.
Device and browser information
Device type, operating system, browser and version, screen size and language preference.
Pages visited and browsing behaviour
Which AI tools, categories, reviews and comparison pages you view on AIChief, how you arrived, and which outbound tool links you click.
Pseudonymous identifiers
Cookie IDs, advertising identifiers and similar identifiers that let a partner recognise the same browser over time. These are not your name or email address.
We do not share your name, email address, password or payment details with advertising partners, and we never sell personal information belonging to anyone we know to be under 16 years of age.
Who do we share with?
We work with a small number of vendor categories. Each one is bound by a contract that limits what it may do with the information it receives.
Identity resolution providers
Services that match pseudonymous identifiers across sites so an advertising profile can be linked to one browser or household.
Analytics providers
Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, which we use to understand which AI tools and articles are useful so we can improve the directory.
Marketing and advertising partners
Advertising, sponsorship and retargeting partners who help us show relevant AI tool promotions on AIChief and on other sites.
What this opt-out does not change
Strictly necessary processing. We still use essential cookies to keep you signed in, secure the site and process payments.
Information you give us directly. If you submit an AI tool, subscribe to the newsletter or create an account, we still process what you send us as described in our Privacy Policy.
Advertising in general. You may still see ads and sponsored AI tool placements on AIChief — they simply will not be targeted using information shared with advertising partners.
Disclosures required by law. We may still disclose information where a law, subpoena or court order requires it.
Authorised agents
You may use an authorised agent to submit an opt-out request on your behalf. Send the request to [email protected] along with written proof that the agent is permitted to act for you. We may contact you directly to confirm the authorisation before we act on the request.
Your other privacy rights
Opting out of the sale and sharing of your information is one of several rights you may have. Depending on where you live, you may also have:
The right to know what personal information we collect about you, where it came from, and who we disclose it to.
The right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
The right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
The right to correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
The right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights — the AIChief directory works exactly the same either way.
