Core foundation

Editorial Policy

The foundational standards that govern every decision AIChief makes — what we cover, what we don't, and how we protect editorial independence from commercial influence.

About AIChief

AIChief LLC is a United States-based AI tools directory founded on February 16, 2025. AIChief operates a publicly accessible directory of11,582+ AI tools across 738+ categories, serving professionals, businesses, educators, developers, and general users worldwide. AIChief's mission is to make AI easier, safer, and more accessible for everyone regardless of experience level.

AIChief's editorial mission

Every piece of content published on AIChief — whether a tool listing, a review, a guide, or a news article — serves the reader's genuine need to find, understand, and make decisions about AI tools. AIChief does not publish content to fill a category, capture a keyword, or satisfy a commercial partner.

What AIChief publishes

  • Listings and reviews of AI tools that meet our quality, safety, and legitimacy standards
  • Comparisons, guides, and analysis that help readers choose between tools or understand their use cases
  • News and industry developments relevant to AI practitioners, businesses, and general users
  • Original research, rankings, and frameworks grounded in verifiable methodology

What AIChief does not publish

  • Tools containing adult, NSFW, or sexually explicit content
  • Tools making unsafe, unverifiable, or deceptive claims about their capabilities
  • Tools identified as scams, phishing platforms, or spam operations
  • Duplicate or near-identical submissions of already-listed tools
  • Tools without a functional, publicly accessible product at the time of review
  • Content that cannot be independently verified or is fabricated
  • Promotional content disguised as editorial reviews

Editorial independence

Editorial decisions are made by the AIChief editorial team without input from commercial partners, sponsors, or advertisers. No paying party may preview, approve, alter, or suppress editorial content before or after publication.

Editorial integrity commitment

Financial relationships with tool developers or advertisers are fully disclosed in our Sponsored Content Policy (Section 6). Commercial relationships do not affect editorial assessment. Report concerns to [email protected].

Testing framework

Review & Testing Methodology

Every tool on AIChief completes a structured seven-stage review before publication. No tool bypasses this process regardless of how it was submitted or who submitted it.

Free plan: 7–10 days testingPaid plan: 24 hours maxScreenshots + dated notes captured

Discovery and submission

AIChief identifies tools through independent research across developer communities and product launches. Direct submissions are also accepted but do not guarantee listing.

Initial vetting — safety and relevance

Every tool is screened for relevance, legitimacy, and freedom from NSFW content, deceptive claims, or spam patterns.

Security and transparency screening

AIChief reviews the tool's privacy policy, terms of service, compliance certifications (SOC 2, GDPR), and domain security.

Hands-on testing

Real-world testing scenarios. Free plan testing takes 7–10 days; paid plan testing is completed within 24 hours. Evidence is captured via dated screenshots.

Responsible use evaluation

Evaluates user safeguards, permission structures, and data retention clarity.

Editorial review and documentation

Preparation of written reviews covering use cases, pricing, and identified limitations. A second editor reviews all content.

Publication and ongoing monitoring

Continuous monitoring. Reviews updated as products change, and tools removed if standards fall.

Category-specific testing

CategoryWhat AIChief specifically tests
Writing & text generationTone control, factual accuracy, output quality, long-form handling, export options
Image generationPrompt adherence, resolution, style consistency, content moderation (NSFW refusal)
Coding & developmentCode accuracy across languages, IDE integration, whether output runs in a real environment
Automation & AI agentsWorkflow reliability, integration depth, error handling, predictability
Data analysis & researchAccuracy against reference data, citation quality, distinction between retrieved data and inference
Voice & audioNaturalness, language support, latency, transcription accuracy

All testing is performed by a human evaluator. We do not use automated scripts. No private user data is accessed, collected, or retained at any stage.

Verification

Fact-Checking Policy

AIChief verifies every factual claim before publication. No statistic, pricing figure, or safety assertion goes live without passing a defined verification standard.

Statistics and data verification

Every statistic published is traceable to a named, verifiable original source — not a secondary aggregator or AI-generated summary.

Tool features and pricing

Pricing and feature information is verified against the tool's official website on the date of publication. Where pricing changes frequently, articles carry a "Last verified" date.

Sensitive topic categories

  • Finance and investment tools — must cite regulatory sources
  • Healthcare and medical AI — must not substitute for professional medical advice
  • Legal tools — output must not be presented as qualified legal counsel
  • HR and hiring tools — must address bias and legal compliance
  • Child safety tools — age-appropriateness claims require named verification
Found an inaccuracy? Use the report feature on any tool listing page, or email [email protected].

Machine disclosure

AI-Assisted Content Policy

AIChief uses AI tools in its content workflow and discloses exactly how. Every AI-assisted piece passes through human review, fact-checking, and editorial judgment.

How we use AI

  • Research assistance and data identification
  • Initial drafting (subsequently rewritten by humans)
  • Testing the output of other AI tools
  • Structural and formatting assistance

What AI does not do

  • AI does not make editorial decisions or scores
  • AI-generated content is never published unedited
  • AI does not fabricate test results or screenshots
  • AI does not write or finalize corrections
Our use of AI tools to test and benchmark other AI tools is considered a strength of our review process — it helps assess real-world interoperability and reliability.

Commercial disclosure

Sponsored Content Policy

AIChief is free to use. Every commercial relationship is disclosed here in full. None of these relationships change editorial verdicts.

1. Affiliate commissions

We earn referral commissions when users sign up through links. These do not influence editorial scores or organic ranking.

2. Sponsored listings

Companies can pay for featured visibility. These are labeled "Sponsored" and do not affect scores.

3. Paid expedited reviews

Payment reduces the review timeline to 24 hours. It does not guarantee a positive outcome or listing approval.

Accountability

Corrections Policy

Errors are corrected promptly, transparently, and on the record. AIChief does not silently delete errors — significant corrections are documented.

How to report

Use the reporting feature on any tool listing page or email [email protected]. Factual errors are corrected within 48 hours; safety-related errors within hours.
