Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is reportedly poised to receive an advanced AI clone designed to engage with and offer guidance to the company's employees. According to a Financial Times report, this AI avatar is being meticulously trained on Zuckerberg's distinct image, voice, mannerisms, tone, and public statements. The initiative aims to foster a stronger sense of connection between employees and the founder through these AI-driven interactions.

Should the internal experiment with Zuckerberg's AI avatar prove successful, Meta may extend this capability to its broader creator community, allowing them to develop their own AI personas. The company has previously showcased its advancements in this area, including a live demonstration of a creator's AI persona in 2024. Additionally, Meta has already enabled creators to deploy AI versions of themselves to interact with follower comments on Instagram. While Meta users can also generate custom AI chatbots, access for teenagers was restricted earlier this year.

Zuckerberg himself is actively involved in the training of his AI avatar, as reported by the Financial Times. Beyond this, he dedicates an estimated five to ten hours weekly to coding for Meta's other artificial intelligence projects and participating in crucial technical reviews. It's worth noting that a separate report from The Wall Street Journal in March indicated Zuckerberg is also developing a personal AI agent to assist with his tasks, a project said to be distinct from Meta's corporate endeavor to create an AI avatar of its CEO.
