Elon Musk’s xAI Faces Delays with Grok 3 Amid Industry Setbacks

Elon Musk’s xAI has faced delays in releasing its next-gen AI model, Grok 3, originally promised by the end of 2024.  Grok 3, which aims to rival models like OpenAI’s GPT-4o and Google’s Gemini, was envisioned as a groundbreaking system capable of analyzing images and answering complex questions.  Musk had frequently hyped the model’s potential, emphasizing the power of xAI’s extensive GPU infrastructure. However, the model remains unreleased, and speculation has arisen about an intermediate version, Grok 2.5, possibly being launched first.  This delay aligns with a growing trend in the AI sector, where companies like Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI have also struggled to deliver next-gen flagship models on schedule.
