Windows 11 Update Brings AI Tools and Copilot Enhancements
Microsoft rolls out AI tools like Copilot Vision and new creative features for Windows 11, with exclusive upgrades for Copilot Plus PCs.

Microsoft is rolling out a major update for Windows 11 packed with new AI-powered features. Leading the additions is Copilot Vision, an AI tool now available to all Windows 11 users through the Copilot app. Copilot Vision can scan and analyze everything displayed on your screen, allowing users to ask questions about open apps and webpages or get guidance on tasks, such as adjusting photo lighting or troubleshooting settings.
For Copilot Plus PCs, which feature Snapdragon-powered hardware, Microsoft is introducing AI-driven upgrades aimed at improving usability and creativity. These include an AI-powered agent within the Settings app that allows natural language search and even executes certain tasks automatically. Users can now also leverage an expanded version of the “Click to Do” feature, enabling quick actions like summarizing text, scheduling Teams meetings, practicing reading fluency with Reading Coach, and drafting documents in Word with Copilot.
Creative tools on Copilot Plus PCs are also seeing AI enhancements. Paint gains a sticker generator and an object selection tool for precise image editing, while the Photos app now includes an AI lighting adjustment option. The Snipping Tool gets a “perfect screenshot” feature, designed to precisely capture on-screen content.
Non-AI features are part of the update as well, including a color picker in the Snipping Tool and a new automatic repair function for unexpected restarts.
Microsoft is gradually releasing these features over the next month, with some already available through the latest non-security preview update and Microsoft Store downloads. This update reflects Microsoft’s broader effort to make AI an integral part of everyday PC use, offering tools for both general users and those with AI-focused Copilot Plus devices.
