Michael Kratsios, the Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, has publicly stated on X that Moonshot reportedly accessed Nvidia’s high-end GB300 processors in Thailand, components known to be under stringent export controls. Kratsios further alleges that Moonshot reverse-engineered Anthropic’s Fable AI model to develop Kimi K3, an open-source AI system which the company claims can rival the flagship models offered by leading U.S. technology firms.
