Voice AI Firm ElevenLabs Plans Global Growth, Future IPO
Voice AI firm ElevenLabs plans new global hubs and eyes an IPO in five years as demand for synthetic speech surges.

ElevenLabs, a fast-growing voice AI startup, is preparing to expand internationally and eventually go public. The company, known for creating synthetic voices using artificial intelligence, aims to open new hubs across Europe, Asia, and South America. It already operates offices in London, New York, Warsaw, San Francisco, Japan, India, and Bangalore and is considering Paris, Singapore, Brazil, and Mexico for further growth.
CEO Mati Staniszewski said ElevenLabs expects to keep scaling its global presence and plans an initial public offering within the next five years if market conditions are favorable. ElevenLabs has grown rapidly since launching its platform in 2023, securing a $3.3 billion valuation in January’s Series C funding round. That figure tripled the company’s value from a year earlier. In the latest round, the firm raised $180 million to advance its AI audio tools used in content creation, customer service, gaming, education, and accessibility.
The startup has developed technology that powers real-time, natural speech generation in 32 languages and offers services including dubbing, sound effects, and voice design. Staniszewski said the company is moving closer to making digital interactions feel like effortless conversations.
Voice AI has attracted significant investment as the technology matures. In 2024 alone, startups in this field raised $2.1 billion, an eightfold increase from the year before, according to CB Insights. The surge has been driven by improvements in AI models, like OpenAI’s Realtime API for speech applications.
To appeal to U.S. investors, ElevenLabs structured itself as a Delaware corporation, a common setup for American venture funding. Staniszewski noted that the company has not yet chosen where it will list its IPO but will likely pick a location where most of its users are based at the time.
As ElevenLabs pushes forward with expansion and product development, it aims to stay at the forefront of the growing market for AI-powered voice technology.
