Lovable, the artificial intelligence-driven app development platform, which recently commanded a valuation of $6.6 billion, has initiated a search for potential acquisitions. Anton Osika, the startup's co-founder and CEO, publicly declared on Monday via X that the company is actively seeking “more great teams and startups to join Lovable.”
In a post, Osika highlighted the company's unique culture, stating, “Many of the people in key roles at Lovable were founders right before joining us.” He elaborated on this philosophy, adding, “We’ve built our culture in a way that makes founder-types thrive internally, being able to act autonomously and drive initiatives.”
Osika articulated that this presents an opportunity for individuals engaged in compelling projects to continue their work with significantly expanded resources and reach. He directed interested entities to contact Théo Daniellot, Lovable’s head of Mergers & Acquisitions & Partnerships, for further discussions.
This strategic move by Lovable to acquire teams or smaller enterprises comes amidst an increasingly competitive landscape. The platform faces rivals such as Cursor, Replit, and Bolt, alongside the burgeoning coding capabilities of advanced AI models themselves. Elena Verna, Lovable’s head of growth, has previously voiced the company's apprehension regarding competition from prominent AI research laboratories like OpenAI and Anthropic.
Notwithstanding these concerns, Lovable continues to demonstrate remarkable growth. The company recently reported an Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) of $400 million, a substantial increase from $200 million recorded at the close of 2025. Furthermore, the platform now facilitates the creation of over 200,000 new vibe-coding projects daily.
This isn't Lovable's inaugural foray into mergers and acquisitions; the company previously acquired the cloud provider Molnett in November, a move aimed at bolstering its cloud infrastructure team.
TechCrunch has contacted Lovable for additional insights regarding the specific types of startups, projects, or teams that are currently of interest for acquisition.
