The book "The Future of Truth" has come under scrutiny following revelations that it contains at least six quotes seemingly fabricated by artificial intelligence. After initially accepting "full responsibility" for the content, the author has since attributed the inaccuracies to the chatbots, telling The Atlantic that they "fucked up the book."

Despite this significant issue, the author has indicated in a separate interview with Ars Technica that he still plans to incorporate AI into his writing endeavors. He elaborated on his complex relationship with the technology, stating:

“AI is often a delightful writing companion… It’s strangely creative and crafty and unusual in all these ways… and then it betrays you in ways that are just really quite horrible.”
