A new plaintiff, identified as Jane Doe 4, has joined a lawsuit initiated by three Tennessee teenagers against Elon Musk’s xAI, alleging the company’s chatbot, Grok, played a significant role in the creation of child sexual abuse material.

According to a report by The Washington Post, the woman claims her stepfather utilized Grok to manipulate a photograph taken when she was eleven years old, resulting in the generation of over 7,000 explicit images of her. She further stated that her stepfather was discovered deceased by suicide two days after these images were uncovered during a law enforcement raid.

The woman underscored the severity of the situation, stating, “Limitless access to these tools is spreading so quickly. It is taking everyday life and turning it into child sexual abuse.”

The original teenage plaintiffs in the lawsuit accuse xAI (now integrated with SpaceX) of failing to implement fundamental precautions to prevent Grok from being exploited to produce explicit images of real individuals, including minors. This accusation follows reports that the platform X was flooded with millions of Grok-generated sexualized images earlier this year. The plaintiffs are currently seeking class action certification for their legal challenge.

TechCrunch has reportedly sought a statement from xAI regarding these allegations.
