Beyond its efforts to develop tools for identifying AI-generated music, Sony's R&D division is reportedly cultivating its own "Protective AI" model. This advanced AI is being trained using content from Studio Ghibli films, which are frequently exploited as source material for AI imitation. While Sony has yet to determine the specific applications for this model, its core design is to ultimately prevent AI systems from illicitly replicating any form of protected intellectual property.
