Following its recent coverage of the AI-driven persona Tilly Norwood, The New York Times has revealed a notable development: acclaimed filmmaker Martin Scorsese has established an advisor and partner arrangement with Black Forest Labs. This company, recognized for its Flux technology which underpins xAI’s image generation, is highlighted by the NYT as a compelling indicator of Hollywood's evolving receptiveness to artificial intelligence, signaling "a clear sign of Hollywood’s softening stance on artificial intelligence."

At present, however, this emerging openness is specifically focused on a pilot program for storyboard creation.

Reflecting on the initial experience, a participant involved in the testing noted, "I recently tested this out on a scene and the ability to visualize and immediately share the storyboard was creatively freeing. During the pre-production process, time costs money, and this allowed us to move faster without sacrificing quality or craft."
