Preorders for the $249.99 Plaud One are now open, with shipping scheduled to begin in September.
Plaud has unveiled a new AI wearable featuring a sleek earbud design, allowing users to record, transcribe, and summarize conversations. The Plaud One Explorer Edition functions like traditional earbuds or within its standalone charging case, which utilizes built-in 4G connectivity to upload and process audio without needing a phone or Wi-Fi.
Individual earbuds offer 16MB of local storage (totaling 32MB) and are equipped with three microphones capable of recording up to two meters away. They boast a maximum battery life of six hours, featuring noise cancellation and force-activated controls on the stem. The accompanying charging case houses four microphones with a five-meter range, a speaker, and 512MB of storage, providing a total battery life of 36 hours via USB-C charging.
The AI transcription and summarization capabilities are powered by Plaud Intelligence, described by the company as technology designed to “understand and execute on human intent.” An AI button on the case activates “Plaud Agent,” a feature that natively integrates with Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, and Slack to streamline workflows and eliminate the need to switch between platforms.
Priced at $249.99, the Plaud One is available for preorder in selected markets starting today, with shipping anticipated to commence in late September.
