Oracle Unveils AI Centre of Excellence in Singapore

Oracle has launched its AI Centre of Excellence in Singapore as part of its commitment to support organizations in keeping pace with advancements in artificial intelligence. This new hub aims to foster innovation and collaboration among AI leaders, helping businesses across Southeast Asia successfully adopt cutting-edge AI technologies. Dr. Tan See Leng, Singapore's Minister for Manpower, highlighted the importance of this initiative in preparing the workforce for future challenges. The Oracle AI Centre of Excellence will empower individuals and organizations through access to advanced cloud and AI technologies, comprehensive training, and a dynamic environment for experimentation. Garrett Ilg, executive vice president at Oracle, emphasized that the center will significantly contribute to training thousands of students and professionals in Singapore, ensuring a skilled digital workforce by 2027. Situated within the Oracle Solution Center, this initiative combines digital and physical resources designed to enhance training and experimentation capabilities. Organizations can engage in secure environments to test AI innovations that address their specific business challenges. The center will facilitate proof-of-concept projects, allowing organizations to explore the feasibility of AI initiatives before full-scale implementation. Key partners supporting the Oracle AI Centre include Accenture and Deloitte, who will assist organizations in the healthcare and financial sectors, respectively, driving AI innovation tailored to industry needs. Digital Realty and NCS will bolster the necessary infrastructure for AI operations, ensuring companies can maximize their cloud capabilities efficiently.  Additionally, local education provider NTUC LearningHub will collaborate with Oracle University to advance digital skills training, while PwC and ST Engineering will focus on enhancing decision-making and operational security using Oracle Cloud technologies. This collaborative effort underscores Oracle's commitment to driving customer success and advancing AI adoption in the region, positioning the centre as a significant player in the Southeast Asian tech landscape.
