OpenAI recently outlined its overarching commitment to expanding the accessibility of artificial intelligence, stating in a blog post: “Our goal is not simply more compute, bigger models, or lower token prices. It is more useful intelligence within reach.” This declaration highlights the company's strategic focus on making advanced AI capabilities available to a broader audience.

In alignment with these efforts, OpenAI announced on Thursday substantial price reductions for two of its key models. The GPT-5.6 Luna model will experience an 80 percent price decrease, while the GPT-5.6 Terra model will see its cost reduced by 20 percent.
