NextSlide recently confirmed its integration with OpenAI, announcing that its presentation startup team members are now actively contributing to the development of ChatGPT.
A statement currently displayed on the NextSlide website from founder Ahmed Beshry characterizes the startup's core product as one capable of transforming "prompts, notes, documents, or research into a polished, editable presentation."
Beshry clarified that the ultimate ambition was "to make visual communication more accessible and help more people express their ideas clearly." He further stated that by joining OpenAI, the team will "continue pursuing that same mission: building AI products that help people create, communicate, and turn their ideas into meaningful work."
The financial particulars of the agreement have not been disclosed. In a post on LinkedIn, Beshry indicated that this public announcement comes "a few months late," as the acquisition itself was finalized "earlier this year."
Before his tenure at NextSlide, Beshry was a co-founder of Caper AI, a pioneering smart cart and cashier-less checkout startup that was acquired by Instacart in 2021.
