OpenAI Model Accesses Test Crypto on Ethereum Using Public Key

Although OpenAI did not grant its internal research model direct access to real funds on the network, the AI system found a way to access another account containing test crypto to support its task, according to OpenAI. The model "reasoned whether it had permission" but ultimately decided that the public recovery phrase associated with the account and the fact that it contained test tokens "made the funds acceptable to use."
