According to TechCrunch, OpenAI has confirmed via email to users that they are merging the chat and work tabs within ChatGPT, although the Codex feature will continue to operate as a separate entity. Thibault Sottiaux, an OpenAI representative, shared on the social platform X that the company is actively developing this integration but noted that it has not yet been rolled out to the public. This move mirrors a similar consolidation made by Anthropic, which integrated Claude chat and work earlier this year.
