Nvidia is actively pursuing strategies to continuously fuel the expansion of AI infrastructure, a key driver of its remarkable success. This commitment was underscored on Friday with the announcement of a strategic partnership with Cloverleaf Infrastructure, a company specializing in laying the foundational groundwork for data centers.

Cloverleaf, established in 2024, successfully raised $300 million in funding that same year. The firm functions as a critical intermediary between utility companies and data centers, providing essential power sources and other pivotal infrastructure required for comprehensive site development.

While the specific terms of the deal were not disclosed by either company, the Wall Street Journal reports that Nvidia's investment in Cloverleaf is anticipated to amount to several hundred million dollars. Reuters further indicates that the leading chipmaker now possesses a minority stake in the infrastructure company. TechCrunch has reached out to Nvidia for additional details.

This latest agreement is consistent with Nvidia's ongoing initiative to deploy its immense profits towards maintaining the momentum of the AI ecosystem. Nvidia is progressively adopting a more direct role in both financing and developing the AI data centers that, in turn, become purchasers of its advanced AI systems. Earlier this week, the company also revealed plans to invest $1.5 billion into SB Energy, an OpenAI-linked data center project situated in Ohio.
