It’s not surprising that Huang was dismissive of the dangers posed by rogue AI and concerns about selling chips to China, or that he adamantly opposed newregulation. He is the CEO of the world’s most valuable company and number seven onForbes’ list of the richest people in the world. Just as importantly, his wealth has skyrocketed from an estimated $21 billion in 2023 to over $192 billion in 2026. Any hiccup in the unchecked expansion of the AI industry could slow his ascent.
