French AI startup Mistral has introduced its latest trillion-parameter model, Mistral Large 4, affectionately dubbed "Le Chonk." The company asserts that this is currently the most advanced open-weight model developed outside of China. It demonstrates exceptional capabilities in coding, cybersecurity, as well as fields such as finance, engineering, and manufacturing. The model is available for preview now, with full weights set to be released by the end of October.
