Meta Vows to Solve AI Labeling Crisis It's Fueling

Meta has formally signed a voluntary agreement, committing to fulfill its obligations under the EU’s AI Act to appropriately mark and label AI-generated content. This mandate is scheduled to become effective on August 2nd. The company articulated its aim to help prevent "a growing array of different labels and disclosures" from causing confusion among both the public and regulatory bodies, a statement made as it concurrently launched its own dedicated content labeling system this month.
