Meta has quietly introduced Style Sketch, an artificial intelligence fashion application designed to assist users in curating outfit concepts utilizing their existing wardrobe. The platform connects seamlessly with Instagram to construct a virtual wardrobe using previously uploaded images, or it permits manual item input via camera capture, video recording, or gallery selection.

Once the digital closet is established, the AI generates outfit suggestions tailored to the user's personal style. Users can then virtually "try on" these combinations on a realistic model that mirrors their specific body shape and skin tone, as described in the app's documentation.

Discovered by social media consultant Matt Navarra, the app is currently accessible on iOS and Android devices in Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand. Meta has not responded to TechCrunch inquiries regarding future expansion plans.

Several existing applications utilize artificial intelligence to digitize wardrobes and visualize clothing options, including startups like Alta and Google Photos. To distinguish itself in a crowded market, Meta is likely counting on its deep integration with Instagram, where users already possess a visual history of their personal fashion sense.

Beyond random suggestions, the application allows users to select a specific garment to generate fresh outfit ideas centered around that item. Additionally, the tool assists with travel packing by generating a day-by-day attire plan that incorporates local weather forecasts and scheduled activities.

Style Sketch represents another entry in Meta's recent lineup of AI applications, following releases like Waddle World (a Tamagotchi-style AI clone), Pocket, and Vibes. This recent wave of applications is part of a larger corporate strategy; reports from The Wall Street Journal indicate that CEO Mark Zuckerberg has directed employees to release a significantly higher volume of apps than historically, leveraging AI-driven efficiencies to accelerate development.
