Google's Canvas in AI Mode has significantly broadened its functionality, now extending support to tasks involving creative writing and coding.

This powerful feature is being rolled out across the United States, integrated directly into AI Mode within Google Search. It establishes a dedicated workspace right inside Google's AI-powered search interface, leveraging the most current information from Search to facilitate the organization of plans, development of tools, and drafting of various documents, all presented seamlessly in a panel adjacent to your chat.

While Canvas initially debuted within the Gemini app, offering real-time document and code creation, its subsequent testing in AI Mode was confined to visualizing travel itineraries. The latest expansion now allows users to harness Canvas in AI Mode for creative writing and coding endeavors. This enhancement provides practical outputs such as an AI-generated dashboard that comprehensively organizes information pertinent to your prompt, or an interactive prototype of a tool you are actively developing.

Accessing this functionality is straightforward: simply navigate to AI Mode in Search, click the "plus" button within the chat window, and select Canvas. Users can then articulate their creative vision or desired output, and Google will present the generated results in a dedicated panel on the right side of the screen. It is important to note that this feature is presently available exclusively in English.
