Glow, a cutting-edge cybersecurity startup spearheaded by former executives from Meta and Snowflake, has successfully emerged from stealth, immediately achieving unicorn status. The company is built on the conviction that artificial intelligence is fundamentally transforming how organizations approach the security of employee devices.

Headquartered in Palo Alto, the startup announced on Wednesday the successful closure of an all-equity Series A funding round, securing an impressive $180 million. This investment valued Glow at $1.2 billion, with significant backing from prominent firms including Sequoia Capital, Cyberstarts, Greenoaks, and Redpoint Ventures. Additional participation came from Index Ventures, Swish Ventures, Lux Capital, Operator Collective, and Holly Ventures. This funding round positions Glow as one of the latest cybersecurity ventures to attain unicorn valuation prior to publicly disclosing its revenue metrics.

The increasing adoption of AI tools by enterprises, coupled with attackers leveraging generative AI for automating phishing campaigns, developing sophisticated malware, and launching advanced cyberattacks, is compelling companies to re-evaluate their endpoint security strategies. This includes everything from employee laptops to servers and other connected devices. Concerns have notably escalated since Anthropic unveiled its Mythos AI model, which demonstrated advanced capabilities in identifying and exploiting software vulnerabilities, sparking a wider discussion about the implications of AI-assisted cyberattacks. Glow’s core thesis is that this evolving landscape necessitates an entirely new paradigm for endpoint security.

Founded in 2025, Glow is developing an advanced endpoint security platform designed to empower enterprises in monitoring and controlling the software, AI agents, and developer tools operating on employee devices. The startup highlights that its platform utilizes specialized AI agents to continuously map enterprise environments, conduct real-time risk assessments, and rigorously enforce security policies.

“If you think of the past decade, everything was moving to the cloud and SaaS. Suddenly, AI lands on the endpoint in a way we’ve never seen,” stated Roi Tiger, co-founder and chief executive of Glow, in a recent interview.

Tiger, previously a vice president of engineering at Meta, co-founded Glow alongside a formidable team: Omer Singer, former head of cybersecurity strategy at Snowflake; Ophir Arie, former vice president of research and development at Claroty; and Arnon Joseph, a former engineering leader at Meta. The startup’s leadership bench is further strengthened by Chief Operating Officer Emily Heath, who previously served as Chief Information Security Officer at United Airlines and DocuSign, sat on the board of Wiz during its $32 billion acquisition by Google, and was formerly a partner at Cyberstarts.

Despite its recent emergence from stealth mode, Glow has already secured paying customers across diverse sectors, including healthcare, retail, and financial services. While the company opted not to disclose specific customer names or numbers, Tiger indicated that typical deployments span tens of thousands of employee devices within global organizations.

To power its innovative platform, Glow integrates AI models from Anthropic and Google’s Gemini, accessible via Amazon Bedrock. Concurrently, Glow develops its proprietary software to furnish these models with specific enterprise context, thereby enhancing their reliability for critical security tasks, as Tiger conveyed to TechCrunch.

Tiger further elaborated on the platform’s early successes, noting that Glow’s solution has already prevented the installation of malicious npm packages—third-party software components crucial for application development—within customer environments. It has also identified AI agents attempting to import such software and detected employee devices where endpoint detection and response tools were either absent or operating with compromised functionality.

Glow enters a highly competitive endpoint security market, currently dominated by established players such as CrowdStrike, Microsoft, SentinelOne, and Palo Alto Networks. Tiger emphasized Glow’s distinctive approach, explaining that while existing endpoint detection and response products primarily focus on detecting threats post-emergence, Glow is engineered to proactively prevent risky software, AI agents, and developer tools from ever entering enterprise environments.

The startup currently employs nearly 100 individuals, with approximately 70% based in Israel and the remaining workforce in the U.S. The ultimate classification of AI-native endpoint security platforms as a distinct market category remains an open question, as enterprises are only just beginning to comprehend and address the security implications posed by increasingly sophisticated AI models.
