Google is rolling out significant enhancements for Gemini today, introducing a fresh ‘Neural Expressive’ design language for the application alongside the more advanced 3.5 Flash model. These substantial upgrades were unveiled at Google I/O, promising a more intuitive and powerful user experience.
Dubbed “Neural Expressive,” this new design language is characterized by “fluid animations, vibrant colors, new typography and haptic feedback,” according to the company. Users will notice a prominent “Ask Gemini” bar, designed for effortless conversation initiation, complemented by a subtle blue gradient at the bottom—a design element increasingly synonymous with Google's aesthetic.
Integrated seamlessly with the new design is Gemini Live, a feature that enables dynamic, back-and-forth voice conversations directly within Gemini’s primary chat interface.
