The AI-powered Grokipedia, an initiative by SpaceXAI that recently resumed updates after a period of inactivity, has introduced a visually refreshed interface.
The Grokipedia, a competitor to Wikipedia powered by AI from SpaceXAI, recently began incorporating edits again and now features a v0.3 update. This update includes a new logo and refreshes to the homepage and the live edits page. Benji Taylor, the head of design at SpaceXAI, describes this as a "newly refreshed Grokipedia."
The previous homepage was minimal, consisting mainly of a logo and a search bar. The updated version now includes a list of featured articles, a list of the most-read articles, and a tracker for "latest edits." The feature list now highlights digital books that users can rotate, while the most-read section uses a horizontal-scrolling shelf metaphor for "book" spines. Additionally, the new live edits page allows users to view more recent changes at a glance.
Article pages have also seen design improvements, featuring nicer-looking tables for key facts and tighter line spacing. Aside from these changes, the structure of the articles themselves remains largely similar to the previous version.
The platform initially launched in v0.1 in late October 2025 with AI-cloned pages from Wikipedia, followed by a v0.2 update a month later. However, it appeared to halt updates earlier this year, with Lawfare reporting in August that no entry had changed in over three months. The recent updates suggest renewed interest from SpaceXAI, though the company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
