AWS to Debut AI Agent Marketplace, Partnering With Anthropic
AWS will debut its AI agent marketplace on July 15, partnering with Anthropic to offer enterprise-ready AI agents in a centralized platform.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is expected to launch a dedicated marketplace for artificial intelligence agents on July 15, during its upcoming AWS Summit. According to a report by TechCrunch, which cites unnamed sources, the platform will serve as a centralized hub where enterprises can browse, purchase, and deploy AI agents built by companies like Anthropic.
While AWS has not confirmed the news, a spokesperson declined to comment when contacted by PYMNTS. Anthropic also did not respond to requests for comment. However, the reported partnership signals AWS’s commitment to expanding its offerings in the competitive field of generative and agentic AI.
The new marketplace will allow startups and AI developers to offer their agents directly to AWS customers. Enterprises will benefit from a streamlined experience, gaining access to a variety of AI agents through a single, accessible platform. This model mirrors similar offerings already launched by other tech giants. Google Cloud, Microsoft, Salesforce, and ServiceNow have each introduced AI agent marketplaces in recent months, aiming to simplify enterprise adoption of AI tools tailored to specific business needs.
During an earnings call on May 1, Amazon CEO Andy Jassy stated that AWS is already generating a multibillion-dollar annual revenue run rate from generative AI services. He added that AWS is increasingly becoming the core infrastructure provider for agentic AI.
Earlier this year, AWS CEO Matt Garman announced the formation of a specialized team focused on agentic AI, calling it a major growth opportunity. In an internal email reported by Reuters, Garman emphasized that AI agents would be central to the next wave of innovation and could become another multibillion-dollar business for AWS.
Microsoft’s Agent Store, launched in May, currently offers over 70 agents and is designed for both developers and non-technical users. OpenAI has also entered the AI agent space, launching tools and APIs in March to help developers build and scale AI agents more easily.
With the anticipated debut of its AI Agent Marketplace, AWS aims to stay at the forefront of AI services, providing businesses with scalable solutions to integrate intelligent agents across their operations.
