Apple is set to roll out an iOS 27.3 beta next week, introducing initial Apple Intelligence features to users in China.
According to MacRumors, Apple confirmed via its Chinese newsroom that Apple Intelligence will launch in China alongside the upcoming iOS 27.3 update. The initial rollout will begin with a beta version scheduled for November 4th, followed by a full public release in December.
Notably, this update does not include the advanced new Siri AI. Instead, the launch focuses on existing tools such as notification summaries, real-time translation, rewriting and proofreading capabilities, visual intelligence, and photo object removal. Additionally, Apple has collaborated with Alibaba to integrate its Qwen chatbot in specific applications, mirroring the ChatGPT integration previously introduced in iOS.
Apple Intelligence received regulatory approval in China back in July, paving the way for this rollout. Earlier reports from Reuters indicated that Apple had trained a dedicated large language model tailored specifically for the Chinese market.
