Anthropic is consolidating the front-end interfaces for its Claude chat and Cowork applications to simplify the user experience and reduce confusion regarding which tab to select for specific tasks.
This unified dashboard allows users to access Claude chat, Cowork, Artifacts, and the recently introduced Claude Design tool within a single window. Claude Design, which was launched in April to facilitate website and prototype design, is now accessible throughout the platform.
Previously, customers often struggled to choose the correct tab for a given task. The new design enables Claude to automatically route requests between different app sections without the need to manually switch tabs or windows. The objective is to eliminate ambiguity and streamline workflows by using a single front-end to direct work to the appropriate areas of the application.
It is hoped that OpenAI will take note of this rollout and address interface inconsistencies across its platforms.
Anthropic is also introducing dedicated features for creating presentations and documents. Users can ask the AI assistant to generate, edit, and present slides, and can also download the resulting presentation as a PDF or PowerPoint file.
Similarly, the Docs feature enables users to collaborate with Claude to create sections, ask questions, and comment on completed parts. Users can share generated documents or slides via a link and continue editing them on their mobile devices.
Additionally, users can instruct Claude to begin drafting a document on a desktop computer and track the progress of the task using a mobile application.
These features are currently rolling out to Claude’s Pro and Max plans on the web, desktop, and mobile platforms over the coming weeks. The company plans to extend these capabilities to the free and team tiers at a later time.
This update follows a recent upgrade to Cowork’s memory layer, which enhances the AI's ability to remember user context across different conversations.
