Gaxos Unveil Gaxos Labs Revolutionizing Game Development with AI Tools!

Roseland, New Jersey-based Gaxos AI launched Gaxos Labs AI development tools this Thursday, aimed at helping developers enhance their workflows and creativity. With its generative AI asset editor and Unity plugin, the tool promises to boost the development process and drive revenue growth.

Founded in 2022, Gaxos began with a personalized healthcare business and briefly explored blockchain before shifting focus to AI-based tools with its Gaxos Labs division, which has around 12 team members.

Gaxos integrates various AI large language models (LLMs) through an API into game developers’ workflows, offering a user-friendly interface for Unity and developing similar solutions for Godot and Unreal.

It enables developers to access multiple AI models, speeding up prototyping and allowing for customization. Users can generate 2D or 3D images using Dall-E, Stability AI, or Gaxos Labs with microtransaction credits, while negative prompts help avoid copyright issues.

Manny Benor, Director of Operations at Gaxos, stated that the advanced tool leverages player-facing generative AI, enabling developers to incorporate more creativity into their games and enhance player engagement.

Manny Benor:

“There are two pain points we address. Originally, we built this tool for ourselves internally, and we actually thought it was so cool that we should share it across the world. We help developers work faster. On the second point, we help players. People who don’t know prompt engineering can help generate more unique and creative ideas.”

What Makes Gaxos Labs Standout?

With Gaxos Labs, developers can easily create, refine, and manage AI-generated assets, making it simple to integrate them into their Unity projects.

This tool offers a straightforward solution for adding generative AI to games, providing new ways for developers to earn revenue.

By using Gaxos Labs, developers can introduce fun features that let players create and use custom content, including unique cosmetics and game models, in both 2D and 3D formats.

Gaxos Labs combines Gaxos’ AI technology with popular tools like Dall-E, Stability.ai, and Meshy, helping developers quickly create images, textures, and other assets. This allows each game to reflect the developer’s creativity while easily integrating into Unity.

Vadim Mats, CEO of Gaxos:

“Gaxos Labs is an AI tool suite designed to boost player customization and speed up game development. Our goal is to help developers increase productivity, spark creativity, and generate revenue. In today’s tough market, finding new ways to earn money is essential. With Gaxos Labs, we put the power of creation in players’ hands, enhancing their experience while offering a simple way for developers to earn more through endless cosmetic options. We’re excited to work with studios to integrate our AI solution into their games.”

Unleashing Creativity with Gaxos Labs

Game developers can explore Gaxos Labs’ in-game AI generation features by downloading titles like Space Striker AI, Battle Fleet AI, Brawl Bots, and Jigsaw Puzzle AI.

Manny Benor, director of operations, stresses that Gaxos aims to enhance productivity, not replace jobs. “Our focus is on helping developers work more efficiently,” he said, comparing the shift to the advent of computers, where new skills emerged rather than jobs disappeared.

The AI tool allows players to customize in-game elements—like swords and characters—instantly integrating these assets into the game for enriched experiences. While 4K assets need an artist’s review, Benor highlights that the tool greatly accelerates prototyping and concept art, saving developers valuable time.

About Revenue

Another aspect of Gaxos Labs is that it enables revenue generation by allowing developers to let players create unique skins and avatars using prompts in mobile and multiplayer games.

Players can upload images, like a dragon, and edit them for engaging content, such as puzzles. With minimal AI generation costs, this tool fosters creativity and opens new revenue streams.

Gaxos plans to introduce a subscription fee and credit-based image generation system, treating it as a microtransaction for added convenience.

Gaxos:

“We envision players paying for the right to generate their stuff. We’ve seen people spend hours and hours just trying to create the perfect skin for something. We think that’s going to increase engagement with players and allow them to feel more ownership in the game. You know how competitive people get in games and how unique they want to be. We think it’s going to be something that people are happy to pay for.”
