Quora’s chatbot application, Poe, has unveiled a new subscription plan priced at just $5 per month, making AI tools more accessible to users. This new offering, announced on Tuesday, is part of Poe’s effort to cater to various user needs and preferences. In addition to the budget-friendly option, the company also introduced a premium subscription plan for $250 per month. This higher tier is tailored for users requiring an extensive messaging capacity on the platform.
Through Poe, users can access multiple AI-driven bots, including DeepSeek-R1, GPT-4o, Claude 3.7 Sonnet, o3-mini, ElevenLabs, and others, all centralized in one application. The platform operates on a point-based system where users distribute points among different bots, with each model having its own cost per interaction.
With the $5 monthly subscription, users can utilize up to 10,000 points per day, significantly enhancing their ability to engage with various AI models. Conversely, the $250 tier offers an impressive 12.5 million points, which is well-suited for users who frequently use more resource-intensive models like GPT-4.5, OpenAI’s o1-pro, and Google DeepMind’s Veo 2.
This move follows customer feedback for a broader range of subscription options. Prior to this announcement, the lowest subscription option was priced at $20 per month, which allowed access to 1 million points. Poe also offers a free plan, although users on this tier face limitations on the number of inquiries they can make each day.
The introduction of these new plans positions Poe to align with prevailing trends in AI usage, where standard models are becoming more affordable while advanced models are increasing in cost, reflecting a dynamic shift within the AI landscape.
