With ChatGPT Atlas, users can open a smart sidebar on any website to instantly summarize articles, compare products, or analyze data. Whether reading the news, managing documents, or shopping online, Atlas provides context-aware support without the need to switch tabs or apps.

A key addition is personalized memory, allowing users to decide what ChatGPT Atlas remembers to tailor future interactions. It can recall relevant details from earlier sessions such as research topics or project notes making ongoing work smoother and more connected.

Another standout feature is Agent Mode, which enables ChatGPT Atlas to take actions online under user supervision. It can handle multi-step tasks such as planning trips, researching items, or creating shopping lists. Currently available in preview for Plus, Pro, and Business users, this mode marks a major step toward practical, hands-on AI that works alongside users in real time.
