Elon Musk revealed that his AI chatbot, Grok 3, is nearly finished and will launch within the next two weeks. Speaking at the World Governments Summit in Dubai, he claimed that Grok 3 demonstrates superior reasoning skills compared to other AI models.
The AI is being developed by his company, xAI, which was founded to challenge OpenAI and Google’s dominance in artificial intelligence. Musk has long been vocal about his concerns regarding OpenAI, a company he co-founded but later parted ways with. Recently, he led a $97.4 billion bid to acquire OpenAI’s nonprofit assets, arguing that the company’s shift to a for-profit model contradicts its original mission.
Beyond AI, Musk addressed various global and economic issues during his speech. He suggested that the US government could save $1 trillion by eliminating inefficiencies in spending. He also advised the US to reduce its involvement in foreign affairs, emphasizing a more restrained approach. His comments on international relations and fiscal policies further showcased his expanding influence beyond the tech industry.
During the summit, Musk also announced a partnership with UAE AI Minister Omar Al Olama to develop the “Dubai Loop,” a futuristic underground transport system. This collaboration aligns with Musk’s vision for high-speed, efficient transportation solutions. His remarks reflected his broad impact on technology, economy, and politics, reinforcing his role as a major global influencer.
