You Can Now Create Autonomous Agents with Microsoft’s Copilot AI

Today, Leading Tech giant Microsoft has launched new features for its “personal, private” AI assistant, Copilot, allowing users to build autonomous agents. This update boosts customization, further cementing Microsoft’s leadership in AI innovation.

Microsoft shared that users can now create their own autonomous agents in Copilot Studio, designed to “understand your work and act on your behalf.” This game-changing feature will be rolling out in public preview in November, as announced during the company’s AI Tour in London.

These agents can range from answering simple questions to managing complex business processes. Users can easily communicate with these agents through Copilot.

Additionally, Microsoft announced 10 new agents specifically designed for its Dynamics 365 platform, helping workers in sales, service, finance, and supply chain. These agents will be available for public preview later this year and into early 2025, with more on the way!

Surely with this advancement, Microsoft is taking AI to the next level. Microsoft also announced that its Copilot Studio autonomous agents will leverage OpenAI’s new “reasoning” model, O1, currently in preview, along with other AI models to enhance their capabilities.

Microsoft:

“These models offer more precise predictions, enhanced natural language processing, and improved decision-making support.”

With advancements in AI like autonomous agents, Microsoft is shaping a future where technology enhances everyday work and boosts productivity. As the public preview approaches, organizations will gain tools to create customized AI solutions, reinforcing Microsoft’s commitment to making intelligent assistants accessible to all.
