Google has integrated its upgraded note-taking tool, NotebookLM Plus, into its One AI Premium plan, allowing subscribers to access premium features without additional cost. NotebookLM, first introduced in 2023, enables users to research topics and organize notes using AI.
Over time, Google has enhanced the tool, adding interactive capabilities like deeper insights into YouTube videos and an AI-powered podcast feature where two virtual hosts can discuss research topics while allowing users to interact with them.
Initially launched for businesses, schools, and enterprise customers, NotebookLM Plus offers five times more Audio Overviews, notebooks, queries, and sources per notebook compared to the basic version.
Additionally, users can customize how they share their notebooks and track daily views, making it a valuable tool for collaborative research and content creation.
The inclusion of NotebookLM Plus in Google’s One AI Premium plan adds even more value to the subscription, which is priced at $19.99 per month. This plan already includes 2TB of cloud storage and access to Gemini Advanced models, as well as Gemini integration in Workspace apps like Gmail and Docs.
Google has also introduced a discounted rate for students aged 18 and above in the U.S., allowing them to subscribe to the plan for $9.99 per month for one year.
By expanding its AI-powered tools within its subscription services, Google is positioning NotebookLM as a key productivity tool for students, professionals, and organizations. With enhanced customization, advanced AI features, and seamless integration with other Google services, NotebookLM Plus aims to improve the way users interact with and manage their research.
