Google’s Gemini AI assistant has introduced a recall feature that allows users to continue previous conversations without repeating details. Available to those subscribed to Gemini Advanced via Google One AI Premium, this update enables the chatbot to remember past interactions, making responses more relevant. Users can also ask Gemini to summarize earlier conversations and build upon existing discussions, enhancing workflow efficiency.
Previously, Gemini could retain user preferences, but now it can actively reference past chats, eliminating the need to search for old conversations manually. If users want to manage their chat history, they can do so by selecting their profile picture in the Gemini app and accessing the “Gemini Apps Activity” section. This feature allows users to review, delete, or modify stored conversations at any time.
The recall feature is currently rolling out to English-speaking users on the Gemini web and mobile apps, exclusively for those with a Google One AI Premium subscription. Google has also announced plans to expand the feature to more languages and include Google Workspace Business and Enterprise customers in the coming weeks. With this update, Gemini AI becomes more competitive with ChatGPT, which also remembers past interactions to personalize responses. The enhancement aims to improve user experience by making AI interactions smoother, more intuitive, and context-aware.
