Apple’s Final Cut Pro 11 Is Now Live with AI Power

On Wednesday, Apple unveiled Final Cut Pro 11, the long-awaited update to its iconic video-editing software. After 13 years, the software has undergone a major transformation, powered by advanced AI tools and designed for better performance on Apple’s M-series chips.

Existing users can download the update for free, while new customers can get it for $300 after a 90-day trial.

The standout features in Final Cut Pro 11 are driven by artificial intelligence. Magnetic Mask, one of the most anticipated tools, allows editors to easily crop people and objects from video without relying on a green screen.

This precise and flexible tool can be combined with color correction and video effects, offering greater creative control.

Another major AI-driven feature is Transcribe to Captions, which automatically generates captions for videos using Apple’s proprietary large language model, streamlining the editing process.

Apple has also added support for Spatial Video, allowing users to edit 3D video captured by its Vision Pro headset and the latest iPhones. The software offers tools to color correct, add effects, and adjust title depth positioning, bringing a new dimension to video editing.

In addition, Magnetic Timeline offers faster, more efficient editing by making it easy to rearrange clips while keeping audio in sync. Final Cut Pro 11 is optimized for Apple’s M-series chips, delivering improved performance with 4K and 8K video streams.

Alongside the update, Apple also released Final Cut Pro for iPad 2.1, offering enhancements to light, color, and workflow.
