Apple is set to introduce AI-powered features to its macOS Mail app in the upcoming 15.4 update, enhancing email organization and prioritization. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman in the Power On newsletter, the app will use artificial intelligence to automatically categorize emails into groups such as transactions, promotions, and more.
This update will also include a “Priority” feature that highlights important emails at the top of the inbox, helping users manage their messages more efficiently.
These features aren’t entirely new to Apple’s ecosystem, as they have been available in the iPhone Mail app since the iOS 18.2 release.
The addition of AI-driven capabilities to macOS Mail aims to align the desktop experience with the advanced functionality already enjoyed by iPhone users.
By leveraging AI, Apple hopes to make email management more seamless, especially for users handling large volumes of messages.
